A legal disclaimer

Business: YV Elevated Experiences LLC

IMPORTANT CLIENT NOTICE
Please read these Terms carefully before booking.
YV Elevated Experiences LLC ("YV Elevated Experiences," "YV," "we," "us," or "our") provides customized travel planning, destination experiences, destination weddings, vow renewals, celebrations, event production, group travel, curated experiences, and related concierge services.
Because many of the services we arrange involve advance commitments to airlines, hotels, resorts, venues, transportation providers, entertainers, photographers, caterers, excursion providers, and other third-party suppliers, not all payments are refundable.
By electronically signing these Terms and/or submitting payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
These Terms apply together with your applicable proposal, invoice, itinerary, event agreement, booking confirmation, and any supplier-specific terms provided to you.

-

Client acknowledges that these Terms may be presented electronically through WeTravel or another electronic-signature platform.
3. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY TO REVIEW TERMS
Client is responsible for reviewing these Terms, the applicable proposal, invoice, itinerary, payment schedule, and any supplier-specific terms before booking.
Client should ask questions before submitting payment if any portion of the booking, cancellation policy, payment schedule, travel insurance recommendation, or scope of services is unclear.
Once Client signs and/or submits payment, Client acknowledges that the applicable terms have been made available for review.

Other suppliers
Third-party suppliers establish their own prices, availability, payment requirements, cancellation policies, refund rules, change fees, and terms.
YV cannot guarantee that a third-party supplier will provide a refund, credit, replacement service, or other remedy.
5. CUSTOMIZED TRAVEL CURATION FEE
For qualifying customized or highly involved travel experiences, YV may charge a non-refundable Travel Curation & Planning Fee.
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable proposal:
-
The fee is $150 per traveler for bookings involving up to two travelers, or
-
$300 per group booking for qualifying group or multi-person experiences.
The applicable fee will be disclosed to Client before payment.
The Curation & Planning Fee compensates YV for customized research, destination research, itinerary development, supplier research, communications, planning, recommendations, coordination, and other professional services.
Once YV begins performing customized services, the Curation & Planning Fee is non-refundable, subject to any rights that cannot legally be waived.
The Curation & Planning Fee is separate from supplier deposits, airfare, accommodations, event-production fees, venue fees, and other travel or event expenses.
6. EVENT, DESTINATION WEDDING & VOW RENEWAL FEES
Destination weddings, vow renewals, private celebrations, and highly customized events may require separate professional planning, design, coordination, production, or management fees.
The applicable fee will be stated in the Client's proposal or event agreement.
Event-specific fees may include:
-
Planning fees
-
Design fees
-
Coordination fees
-
Production fees
-
Event management fees
-
Staffing fees
-
Travel-related professional fees
-
Additional planning hours
-
On-site coordination
-
Other services specifically identified in the proposal
An event-specific agreement or proposal may establish payment and cancellation terms that are more specific than these general Terms.
7. RETAINERS, DEPOSITS AND ADVANCE PAYMENTS
YV does not necessarily require a retainer for every travel experience.
Where a retainer is required, the amount and payment deadline will be identified in the applicable proposal or agreement.
Any YV retainer expressly identified as non-refundable is non-refundable once paid, subject to applicable law.
Separate deposits may also be required by venues and other suppliers.
A payment made toward a venue, hotel, resort, airline, transportation provider, vendor, excursion, or other supplier is subject to the applicable supplier's terms.
A supplier deposit is not automatically the same thing as a YV professional fee.
8. SUPPLIER DEPOSITS AND NON-REFUNDABLE COMMITMENTS
Client understands that YV may be required to make advance payments or commitments on Client's behalf.
Examples include:
-
Venue deposits
-
Resort deposits
-
Hotel deposits
-
Catering deposits
-
Entertainment deposits
-
Photography deposits
-
Videography deposits
-
Transportation deposits
-
Excursion deposits
-
Rental deposits
-
Cruise deposits
-
Airline tickets
-
Production purchases
-
Custom décor
-
Custom merchandise
-
Staffing commitments
-
Destination management fees
If the supplier identifies an amount as non-refundable, Client remains responsible for that amount even if Client subsequently cancels.
YV will not represent that a supplier payment is refundable when the supplier's terms state otherwise.
9. PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Client agrees to pay according to the payment schedule stated in the applicable proposal, invoice, booking confirmation, or itinerary.
Payment deadlines are material terms of the booking.
Failure to make a required payment may result in:
-
Cancellation of reservations;
-
Loss of availability;
-
Supplier penalties;
-
Loss of deposits;
-
Increased pricing;
-
Change fees;
-
Cancellation fees; or
-
Termination of services.
Certain suppliers may require payment before YV's standard final-payment deadline.
YV may establish earlier payment deadlines when required by suppliers or when appropriate for international travel, destination weddings, group travel, custom events, or high-value experiences.
10. FINAL PAYMENT
Unless otherwise stated in writing, final payment for travel-inclusive experiences is due 90 days before the Experience Date.
For certain experiences, YV may establish a different final-payment deadline.
The applicable final-payment deadline will be stated in the Client's booking materials.
Once final payment is due, cancellation penalties may increase substantially because YV and third-party suppliers may have entered periods of increased financial commitment.
11. DEFINITION OF EXPERIENCE DATE
"Experience Date" means the date on which the primary booked experience, event, wedding, vow renewal, or travel itinerary begins.
For multi-day experiences, YV may identify a specific "Experience Start Date" in the applicable proposal or agreement.
Where airfare, accommodations, or other travel services begin substantially earlier than the primary event, YV may establish the applicable cancellation date based upon the earliest material supplier commitment.
12. CLIENT CANCELLATION PROCEDURE
All cancellations must be submitted to YV in writing.
The effective cancellation date is the date YV receives the written cancellation request.
Client should submit cancellation requests by email or through the designated communication method provided by YV.
A verbal conversation, text message, social-media message, or other informal communication does not constitute an effective cancellation unless YV confirms the cancellation in writing.
13. STANDARD YV CANCELLATION SCHEDULE
Unless the applicable proposal or event agreement provides a different written schedule, the following cancellation schedule applies to YV professional/service fees.
More than 90 days before the Experience Date
Client may cancel in writing.
YV will retain:
-
Any non-refundable Curation & Planning Fee;
-
Any non-refundable retainer;
-
Professional fees already earned for services performed; and
-
Any non-refundable third-party expenses, deposits, penalties, or commitments.
Any remaining amounts that are actually refundable under applicable supplier terms may be refunded to Client, subject to this Agreement.
60–90 days before the Experience Date
In addition to amounts identified above, Client is responsible for 50% of the remaining contracted YV professional/service fees.
Client remains responsible for all non-refundable supplier costs.
31–59 days before the Experience Date
In addition to amounts identified above, Client is responsible for 75% of the remaining contracted YV professional/service fees.
Client remains responsible for all non-refundable supplier costs.
30 days or fewer before the Experience Date
Client is responsible for 100% of the contracted YV professional/service fees, together with all non-refundable third-party expenses, supplier penalties, production expenses, staffing commitments, cancellation fees, and other committed costs.
After the Experience Begins
Once travel or event services have begun, YV professional/service fees are fully earned and non-refundable.
No refund is provided for unused portions of an itinerary, missed activities, no-shows, voluntary changes, early departures, unused accommodations, missed transportation, or Client decisions not to participate, except to the extent a third-party supplier independently provides a refund.
14. SUPPLIER CANCELLATION POLICIES CONTROL SUPPLIER FUNDS
Client understands that a supplier may impose a stricter cancellation policy than YV's general cancellation schedule.
Where a supplier's cancellation policy results in a non-refundable amount, Client remains responsible for that amount.
This may occur:
-
More than 90 days before travel;
-
Before final payment;
-
Immediately after booking; or
-
At another time specified by the supplier.
YV will communicate known material supplier cancellation restrictions when reasonably available.
Client is encouraged to review supplier-specific terms before finalizing a reservation.
15. REFUNDS
Refunds are limited to amounts that are actually refundable under the applicable agreement and supplier terms.
YV does not guarantee a refund merely because:
-
Client changes their mind;
-
Client's personal circumstances change;
-
Client decides not to travel;
-
Client cannot obtain time off;
-
Client experiences financial difficulties;
-
Client's guest cancels;
-
Client does not obtain required travel documents;
-
Client misses a flight;
-
Client arrives late;
-
Client voluntarily leaves early; or
-
Client decides not to participate.
Where a supplier provides a refund or credit, YV will apply that amount according to the applicable booking terms.
16. GOODWILL REFUNDS OR CREDITS
YV may, at its sole discretion and without creating a precedent, provide a partial refund, credit, transfer, courtesy adjustment, or other accommodation.
Any discretionary refund or credit does not amend the general cancellation policy for future bookings unless expressly stated in writing.
17. POSTPONEMENTS AND DATE CHANGES
A postponement is different from a cancellation.
YV may, at its discretion, allow Client to transfer an experience to a new date, subject to:
-
YV availability;
-
Supplier availability;
-
Venue availability;
-
New pricing;
-
Supplier change fees;
-
Seasonal pricing;
-
New deposits;
-
Fare differences;
-
Additional planning costs; and
-
Other applicable expenses.
A postponement does not automatically preserve the original price.
Previously paid amounts may be transferred only to the extent permitted by YV and applicable suppliers.
If YV or a critical supplier is unavailable on the requested new date, Client may be subject to the applicable cancellation policy.
18. CLIENT-REQUESTED CHANGES
Changes to the destination, date, venue, guest count, hotel, transportation, flights, activities, vendors, event design, or itinerary may result in additional costs.
Client is responsible for applicable:
-
Supplier change fees;
-
Fare differences;
-
Rate increases;
-
Administrative fees;
-
Additional planning fees;
-
Additional staffing;
-
Additional production costs;
-
Transportation costs;
-
Accommodation costs; and
-
Other expenses resulting from the requested change.
YV will communicate material additional charges when reasonably possible before committing to them.
19. AIRFARE
Airfare is governed by the fare rules of the applicable airline.
Airline tickets may be:
-
Non-refundable;
-
Non-transferable;
-
Subject to cancellation fees;
-
Subject to change fees;
-
Subject to fare differences;
-
Restricted to the named traveler;
-
Subject to credit expiration;
-
Refundable only under specified circumstances.
YV does not guarantee that airfare will be refundable.
Airline schedule changes, delays, cancellations, missed connections, denied boarding, baggage issues, and other airline matters are primarily governed by the airline's applicable terms and policies.
YV may reasonably assist Client with communication with the airline or travel supplier but cannot guarantee a particular airline outcome.
20. TRAVEL INSURANCE
YV Elevated Experiences strongly recommends travel insurance for every travel-inclusive booking.
Travel insurance should be considered particularly important when Client has significant prepaid or non-refundable expenses.
Travel insurance may provide coverage for certain circumstances including, depending on the policy:
-
Trip cancellation;
-
Trip interruption;
-
Travel delay;
-
Missed connections;
-
Emergency medical expenses;
-
Emergency evacuation;
-
Baggage loss or delay;
-
Certain family emergencies;
-
Certain weather-related events; and
-
Other covered causes.
Coverage varies by insurance company and policy.
YV is not an insurance company and does not determine whether a particular loss is covered.
21. CANCEL FOR ANY REASON (CFAR)
For substantial travel expenditures, YV strongly recommends that Client investigate travel insurance that includes Cancel For Any Reason ("CFAR") coverage when available and appropriate.
CFAR is generally an optional insurance benefit and is not the same as standard trip-cancellation coverage.
CFAR policies may include requirements concerning:
-
When the policy must be purchased;
-
The amount of trip costs that must be insured;
-
When cancellation must occur;
-
Eligibility;
-
Percentage of reimbursement;
-
Covered travel arrangements; and
-
Other policy conditions.
CFAR commonly provides only partial reimbursement rather than 100% of non-refundable costs.
Client is responsible for reviewing the actual insurance policy and determining whether it meets Client's needs.
YV does not guarantee that CFAR will be available, purchased, or payable for any particular cancellation.
22. TRAVEL INSURANCE ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Client acknowledges that YV has recommended that Client investigate travel insurance and, where appropriate, CFAR coverage.
Client understands that cancellation of travel or events can result in substantial financial loss.
Client is responsible for deciding whether to purchase insurance.
If Client declines travel insurance, Client understands that Client may personally bear losses that might otherwise have been covered by an insurance policy.
For designated experiences, YV may require proof of travel insurance as a condition of participation where stated in the applicable agreement.
23. INSURANCE CLAIMS
Insurance claims are determined by the applicable insurance company, not YV.
Client is responsible for:
-
Filing claims;
-
Meeting claim deadlines;
-
Providing required documentation;
-
Paying applicable premiums;
-
Understanding exclusions;
-
Complying with policy conditions; and
-
Communicating directly with the insurer when required.
YV may reasonably assist by providing invoices, receipts, cancellation confirmations, or other documents in YV's possession.
YV does not guarantee that an insurance claim will be approved.
24. FORCE MAJEURE AND UNCONTROLLABLE EVENTS
YV shall not be responsible for delays, cancellations, interruptions, modifications, or failures caused by circumstances beyond YV's reasonable control.
These circumstances may include:
-
Hurricanes;
-
Severe weather;
-
Floods;
-
Wildfires;
-
Earthquakes;
-
Natural disasters;
-
Government actions;
-
Travel restrictions;
-
Border closures;
-
Epidemics or pandemics;
-
War;
-
Civil unrest;
-
Terrorism;
-
Strikes;
-
Transportation disruptions;
-
Airline disruptions;
-
Venue closures;
-
Supplier failures;
-
Utility failures;
-
Acts of God; or
-
Other extraordinary circumstances beyond YV's reasonable control.
YV will make commercially reasonable efforts to assist Client in identifying available alternatives, credits, refunds, or rescheduling options.
However, YV does not guarantee a refund when a third-party supplier does not provide one.
25. SUPPLIER FAILURE OR CANCELLATION
If a supplier cancels or becomes unable to provide contracted services, YV will make commercially reasonable efforts to identify an alternative where feasible.
A replacement may differ in:
-
Location;
-
Pricing;
-
Availability;
-
Amenities;
-
Services;
-
Capacity;
-
Quality;
-
Schedule; or
-
Other characteristics.
Any additional costs may be the responsibility of Client unless otherwise provided by the supplier, insurance, or applicable law.
26. PASSPORTS, VISAS AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Client is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all documents necessary for travel.
These may include:
-
Passports;
-
Visas;
-
Entry permits;
-
Travel authorizations;
-
Identification;
-
Health documentation;
-
Transit documentation; and
-
Other legally required documents.
YV may provide general travel information but does not guarantee Client's eligibility for entry into any destination.
Failure to obtain required documentation does not automatically entitle Client to a refund.
27. HEALTH, ACCESSIBILITY AND PARTICIPATION
Client is responsible for determining whether Client and accompanying travelers are physically and medically able to participate in the selected experience.
Client should notify YV of known accessibility requirements as early as reasonably possible.
YV will make reasonable efforts to identify appropriate accommodations when available.
Certain destinations, venues, excursions, transportation providers, and activities may have physical, age, health, or accessibility limitations.
28. CLIENT CONDUCT
Client and all participants associated with Client agree to behave lawfully and respectfully toward YV representatives, suppliers, venues, other guests, travelers, and members of the public.
YV may take reasonable action, including terminating services or removing a participant where legally permissible, if conduct:
-
Creates a safety risk;
-
Violates applicable law;
-
Materially disrupts the experience;
-
Threatens or harasses staff or others; or
-
Places YV, suppliers, or other participants at unreasonable risk.
No refund is guaranteed where services are terminated because of Client misconduct.
29. THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS ARE INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS
Airlines, hotels, resorts, transportation providers, venues, tour operators, excursion companies, photographers, videographers, caterers, entertainers, rental companies, and other suppliers are independent businesses.
YV does not own or control these suppliers.
YV is not responsible for the independent acts or omissions of third-party suppliers except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.
Where appropriate, YV will reasonably assist Client in communicating with a supplier regarding a material service issue.
30. EVENT VENDORS
For destination weddings, vow renewals, celebrations, and other events, YV may coordinate independent vendors.
Vendor availability and performance are subject to the vendor's own terms.
Vendor deposits may become non-refundable immediately or at specified milestones.
Client acknowledges that vendor pricing and availability can change before final booking.
31. EVENT GUEST COUNTS
For events involving venues, catering, transportation, accommodations, rentals, or other guest-based services, Client is responsible for providing accurate guest information by the applicable deadline.
Increases in guest count may result in additional charges and may be subject to availability.
Reductions in guest count do not automatically result in a refund.
Supplier minimums may continue to apply.
32. PRICING CHANGES
Travel and event pricing may change due to supplier pricing, currency fluctuations, taxes, fees, fuel surcharges, airfare changes, availability, seasonal pricing, government charges, or other factors.
Once a service has been confirmed and paid in full, YV will not intentionally increase the price except where the applicable supplier, government authority, or other contractual circumstance permits or requires an adjustment.
33. TAXES, FEES AND GOVERNMENT CHARGES
Client is responsible for applicable taxes, resort fees, tourism fees, transportation charges, government fees, airline fees, destination fees, and other charges identified in the applicable booking.
Some charges may be imposed by suppliers or government authorities after initial booking.
34. CURRENCY
International bookings may be subject to foreign-currency exchange rates.
Client acknowledges that the final amount charged may vary where a supplier charges in a foreign currency or where payment-processing or currency-conversion charges apply.
35. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES
Client agrees to contact YV promptly if Client believes that a charge is incorrect, unauthorized, duplicated, or otherwise subject to a legitimate billing dispute.
YV will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve legitimate billing concerns.
A chargeback is a process administered by the Client's financial institution or payment network. It is not a substitute for the contractual cancellation process.
If Client initiates a chargeback relating to a cancellation or refund dispute, YV may provide the payment processor, card issuer, financial institution, or applicable dispute-resolution entity with documentation including:
-
The Client's electronically signed agreement;
-
These Terms;
-
The applicable cancellation policy;
-
Proposal and invoice;
-
Payment records;
-
Booking confirmations;
-
Supplier confirmations;
-
Correspondence;
-
Evidence of services performed;
-
Evidence of supplier commitments;
-
Refund calculations; and
-
Other relevant documentation.
If a chargeback is initiated because Client simply disagrees with a disclosed cancellation policy, YV reserves the right to contest the chargeback with the applicable documentation.
A chargeback does not automatically cancel Client's contractual obligations or create an independent right to a refund.
Nothing in these Terms prevents Client from exercising any rights available under applicable law or applicable payment-network rules concerning unauthorized charges or legitimate billing errors.
36. DOCUMENTATION OF CLIENT CONSENT
Client acknowledges that YV may retain records of:
-
Electronic signatures;
-
Booking confirmations;
-
Payment confirmations;
-
Invoices;
-
Emails;
-
Written cancellation requests;
-
Supplier communications;
-
Client approvals;
-
Itineraries;
-
Proposals;
-
Terms and conditions;
-
Insurance acknowledgments; and
-
Other records relevant to the booking.
These records may be used to administer the Client's booking and, where appropriate, respond to payment disputes or chargebacks.
37. ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES
Client agrees that electronic signatures, electronic acknowledgments, electronic communications, digital approvals, and electronically stored records may be used to enter into and administer this Agreement.
By electronically signing this Agreement, Client confirms that Client has reviewed the Terms and agrees to them.
Client's electronic signature may be collected through WeTravel or another electronic-signature platform.
38. COMMUNICATIONS
Client agrees to provide YV with a valid email address and current contact information.
Client is responsible for monitoring communications relating to:
-
Payment deadlines;
-
Travel changes;
-
Cancellation deadlines;
-
Supplier changes;
-
Required documentation;
-
Itinerary updates;
-
Event deadlines; and
-
Other time-sensitive matters.
YV is not responsible for consequences resulting from Client's failure to monitor communications or provide accurate contact information.
39. NO VERBAL MODIFICATION
Any modification, waiver, exception, or amendment to these Terms must be confirmed in writing by an authorized representative of YV.
A statement made by a vendor, employee, contractor, or other person that conflicts with these Terms does not modify this Agreement unless confirmed in writing by an authorized YV representative.
40. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YV shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from Client's experience.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, YV's aggregate liability arising from its own professional services shall not exceed the amount of YV professional/service fees actually paid by Client for the specific services giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
41. COLLECTION COSTS
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Client may be responsible for reasonable costs incurred by YV in collecting amounts properly owed under the Client's agreement, including reasonable collection costs and attorney's fees where permitted by law.
42. MARYLAND TRAVEL-SERVICE COMPLIANCE
YV Elevated Experiences LLC operates in Maryland and intends to comply with applicable Maryland requirements governing sellers of travel.
Maryland Chapter 611 (House Bill 994), effective October 1, 2026, establishes requirements for qualifying sellers of travel services, including annual filing of proof of professional liability and errors and omissions insurance of at least $1,000,000 and an annual filing fee established by statute and applicable regulations.
YV intends to maintain the insurance and registrations required by applicable Maryland law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive any rights or protections provided to Client by applicable Maryland or federal law.
43. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, except to the extent that applicable federal or other mandatory law requires otherwise.
Any dispute shall be brought in a court or dispute-resolution forum having appropriate jurisdiction.
44. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.
45. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with the applicable proposal, invoice, itinerary, event agreement, booking confirmation, supplier terms, and written amendments, constitute the agreement between YV and Client concerning the applicable services.
If an event-specific agreement or proposal signed by both parties contains terms that expressly conflict with these general Terms, the event-specific agreement will control with respect to that specific service or experience.
